Kars Walnut Sucuk
This traditional Turkish delicacy, known as pestil pekmez cevizli sucuk, combines walnuts and grape molasses, giving it the appearance of a sausage—hence the name “walnut sucuk.”
Similar to the Georgian Churchkhela, it is made by threading walnuts onto a string, dipping them in thickened grape juice, and drying them into a sausage-like form. This delicious treat from Kars is enjoyed both as a dessert and a snack, offering a natural, sweet energy boost with every bite.
